Hi! I'm Shelby.

I'm a self-taught artist based in Pacifica, California, and I've loved watercolor for as long as I can remember. I love the complexity and watching the colors bleed together allowing every piece to turn out a little different.

Most of what I paint comes from the world around me and my experiences: rainbow trout, striped bass, sardines, pink crabs, and sunsets - plus a few fun ones like my Game Night series. I also love doing large landscapes in oil paint; the texture, time, and attention to detail bring the pieces to life.

The best part of all this is that my paintings end up in homes all over the country. Someone I've never met hangs my work on their wall, and I get to share something I love with them. It still amazes me every time an order goes out.

Alongside my prints and originals I do custom commissions if you have something special in mind you would like me to create!

Thank you for letting my art be part of your space.

made with love, shelby nicole
